The pupils at St. Pat’s have been hard at work nearly finishing their wind chimes yesterday and they’re looking genuinely fab! This is the first time we’ve tried making these and we’re so impressed we’ll definitely try them again with another class.
The sticks of wood were found by artist Dawn Hair on a walk on the Inverkip Beach, so instead of letting these go to waste. When hung together, they’ll make a gentle tapping sound when moving in the wind.
We’re also using small pieces of bamboo from an old beaded curtain to add more visual and sound diversity.
Check back next week for the finished products.
