RIG Arts is a multi-award winning artists led, socially engaged arts, film and media charity based in Inverclyde. We bring professional artists and the community together using innovation and creativity. We have been established for five years and have worked hard to widen arts participation and to support the development of working artists.
Project Manager: Karen Patton Orr artist and manager at RIG Arts is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art and the academy of Fine Art, Poznan, Poland. She also holds an MBA with Distinction from Glasgow Caledonian University whilst working for IBM UK Ltd. where she gained 12 years business experience.
Creative Producer: Jason Orr is a graduate from Glasgow School of Art specialising in installation and public sculpture. He was also awarded a Polish Government Post Graduate scholarship and has been commissioned to make public sculptures in Hunter High School in East Kilbride and the Mitchell Library in Glasgow.
Community Artist: Rebecca Livesey-Wright will be the continual presence artist at the Broomhill Art Flat and within the local schools. Rebecca has worked on the Broomhill pilot forming close relationships, trust and respect from the community. Rebecca graduated from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in Criticism, Communication and Curation. She directed her three graded submissions with a social focus and she is keen to find alternative and accessible ways of making, discussing and accessing art.
