Broomy’s Bairns – Trip to Lunderston Bay

Last week we took a trip to Lunderston Bay with the Broomy’s Bairns to collect some sea glass!

After a brief chat with the kids about the importance of keeping our coastlines clean, we got to work with our containers, looking for pieces of glass that had been washed up from the Atlantic Ocean through the Firth of Clyde.

We stopped for a picnic and looked over what we had found, and set off refuelled with more containers to fill up with glass.

We had such a great day and even had time to stop off at the park before jumping back on the bus to go home!  The glass that we collected will be reused in a future upcycling project.
