Ceramic artist Dawn Hair has returned for a third time to create unique Mosaic and pebble pieces for our Broomy’s Bees Garden.
We spent the last session sorting through and washing different coloured pebbles, to be arranged into patterns and images for a octagonal centre piece in the garden on Ann Street. Participants based some patterns on elements of the heritage in the Broomhill area, for example knitting patterns from the Merino Wool Mill, and others choose to depict wildlife that will appear on completion of the garden.
This workshop is open to all ages and abilities, with children under 12 to be accompanied by an adult. Classes are completely FREE, and participants are welcome to come and go from the class as they please, rather than staying for the full 2 hours – whatever suits!
Come on the day to the Broomhill Art Flat (to gain entry, press number “12” on the keypad to be buzzed into Broomhill Court),
12 Broomhill Court, Ann Street, Greenock, PA15 4ET
You can contact RIG Arts on 01475 649359, email info@rigarts.org, or send us a message on Facebook for more details or to book your place.
The class is FREE funded by Creative Scotland as part of the Up the Broomy Project.
