Mosaic Madness is Back!

Our brilliant Mosaic Madness workshop has begun a new 6 week-series with ceramic artist Dawn Hair.

After looking at artists/architects that use mosaics as well as images of wildlife, Dawn had the participants pick an organic image to draw onto a honeycomb-shaped piece of wood, to mosaic onto.  Now, they have started to pick tiles and arrangements for their mosaic pieces!

Currently, Dawn and RIG Arts assistant Rhia, are experimenting with expanding foam and chicken wire, with the intentions to make 3D shapes to mosaic onto!

Eventually, we are hoping to have the mosaics featured in our upcoming Broomy’s Bees Garden, so whether you’ve tried mosaic-making before or you would like to try your hand at a new skill, then pop along to the Tuesday evening classes, from 5pm – 7pm.

This is a great skill to have, and a hobby that can be made out of breaking an old cup!

Come on the day to the Broomhill Art Flat (to gain entry, press number “12” on the keypad to be buzzed into Broomhill Court),
