Last week, the kids in Broomy’s Bairns were looking at things that appear in the garden – in winter!
Firstly, they looked at different things that we might find in the garden during the winter months, for example, trees without leaves, squirrels, hedgehogs, frost covered grass and maybe even a snow covered garden featuring snowmen!
As well as what we might find in the garden, the kids had a look at research photographs of traditional Georgian and Victorian silhouettes, to help make their pictures.
The kids used black and white paper, to make the silhouette image, by firstly drawing a picture in pencil onto the black paper, then cutting it out, and sticking it onto their white piece of paper to make a the silhouette of the garden.
The Broomy’s Bairns Art Classes are every Wednesday at the Broomhill Art Flat, with the first session starting at 3.30pm, until 4.30pm, then the next session starting at 4.40pm, and finished up at 5.30pm.
