In this week’s Broomy’s Bairns class, the kids were busy cutting and pasting coloured paper to make a large-scale collage imitation of a painting we have on the wall in the art flat.
The Bairns had a great time cutting up the different shapes in bright colours, trying to imagine interesting colour combinations rather than the expected brown bricks and grey tiled roofs.
Last week, we had an extra helping hand from Sam, who was with RIG Arts for a week long works placement as part of her studies at York St. John University.
The Broomy’s Bairns Art Classes are every Wednesday at the Broomhill Art Flat, with the first session starting at 3.30pm, until 4.30pm, then the next session starting at 4.40pm, and finished up at 5.30pm.
