This week in the Broomy’s Bairns Art Class, the kids got busy with some scissors and glue and made collages!
We gave them some pictures of famous paintings as their initial inspirations for repeated simple shapes and designs, and pre-cut some pieces of paper, and different materials, then let them go from there. It was
Some of the children taught us something new that they had learnt at school! They used chalk pastels to rub onto paper then washed over with a paint brush, dipped in water so that the chalk marks had the effect of watercolours.
Afterwards, we got all their collages and paintings on the wall to let the Broomy’s Bairns see how they could all look together.
The Broomy’s Bairns Art Classes are every Wednesday at the Broomhill Art Flat, with the first session starting at 3.30pm, until 4.30pm, then the next session starting at 4.40pm, and finished up at 5.30pm.
