Experimental Photography

In this weeks Experimental Photography workshop with Steve Elliot, participants were given a task which would have them get to know the settings in their camera better.

We all went outdoors and tried to pick a spot where we could all set up our tripods and take multiple images of the same spot.  Eventually, we settled on the space in front of the Broomhill shops, focusing on the shop fronts themselves, and the front of the Broomhill Tavern.  Once everyone had set up we were guided by Steve on how to change certain settings on the camera to get a dramatically different image each time.  Next week the plan is to review these images and begin learning how to change settings

Next week, the plan is to review these images and begin learning how to change settings and effects on the images, in computer programs.

Eventually, the final photographs from all of the workshops will be collated and printed on tiles to create a permanent photographic installation for Broomhill.

If you fancy joining the class, come along next Tuesday from 4 pm to 6 pm!  Cameras and equipment will be provided.

CLASSES ARE FREE AND SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES although those under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
