Making Recycled Wind Chimes

RIG arts are still working in two Broomhill Primary schools delivering workshops on creative reuse and recreating. This week, we used old bits of wood to make wind chimes for the garden, linking in our consideration of the environment in terms of recycling and upcycling, to thinking about how we can interact with the elements through art.

The children have covered their pieces of wood with PVA glue and tissue paper, as well as chalk pens and permanent markers. Next week, they’ll join them together, hanging 3-4 pieces from one main piece.
