Just before Christmas, RIG Arts hosted an Arts Fair at the Broomhill Art Flat. Adorned with Christmas decorations with festive music playing throughout the day and mince pies on offer, the flat was definitely the place to be to get into the festive spirit.
We were visited throughout the day by new and old faces, including kid’s who attend our Wednesday evening arts club accompanied by their parents, local residents, participants of our Monday evening Recycle Upcycle adult’s workshops, a photographer from the Greenock Telegraph, and people who were stepping inside for the very first time!
There were free gifts on offer including crafts made in our adult’s workshops as well as donated toys and teddy bears, proving that it is possible to pick up or make a gift for someone else (or yourself!) for absolutely free.
We ran some activities for the young ones throughout the day, making Christmas hats adorned with snowmen, Christmas stars and Christmas trees.
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you all a very happy New Year, and hope to see you back, or coming for the first time, to the Art Flat in 2017.
